What's a Personal Email Address?
Personal email addresses are those with commonly used service providers like Google, Apple, Yahoo and local ISP's. The order confirmations, verification messages and gift notifications are recognized by those systems and will have a high deliverability rate. Bottom line, when we send an important message to you (or your recipient), it will be received.
Why Do We Discourage "Business" Email Addresses?
Because we want to ensure that our important message (to you or your recipient) will successfully deliver. Many times, corporate firewalls block incoming emails from being delivered to employees as a security measure. Typically, employees are unaware of this delivery limitation -- as the system filters out unwanted emails they were neither expecting nor missed.
However, eGifter gift card buyers *must* receive emails to complete the required verification step.
What's more, anyone to whom a gift was sent may not receive the gift notification if their company's firewall blocked it.
Unfortunately, the inability to receive emails from eGifter.com is a dealbreaker.
SO, we ask that you use personal email addresses when creating an eGifter account -- and when entering delivery addresses for gift card orders (both "Buy for Myself" and "Send to a Friend".)
